Signing Android app

So when about to publish/send my app to Google Play I had to sign it. At some point this reminded me of signing art and stuff like a painting. Neat right? Well, back to the Android thing: It was a not so-so-so clear path to understand what to do. At one point I thought I just had to build the App Bundle and upload it, but no; I had to upload a _signed_ App Bundle. To do so I hit Build > Generate Signed App Bundle / APK in Android Studio. Then, the not so obvious thing is that we have to create a Key store and a Key with which we'll sign the cuack. At that point the instructions here (https://developer.android.com/studio/publish/app-signing#sign-apk) and the Figure 1 (https://developer.android.com/studio/publish/app-signing) come in handy. You sign your app, upload to Google. Google signs it and Google uploads it to the masses. Well, back to the Key store / Key config: - I used a generic path like /Users/username/keystores/upload-keystore.jks - I created a password then saved to 1Password - I left the default value for validity in years (25) - I just completed my name and Country Code So - this is used to sign the thingy. And once built and signed (a popup shows on Studio to locate the quack) I uploaded it to the Play Console.
